The Essex Harmony
The Essex Harmony is an auditioned, Danvers Massachusetts based, mixed chamber chorus specializing in "Singing School" Colonial American to contemporary American choral music. The group was founded in 2006.

We are excited to announce that the group is now Chorus-in-Residence at the Danvers Art Association. Click on the following link:

The Essex Harmony comprises 12 to 19 members. The group performs mainly 'a cappella' and has occasionally featured piano, harpsichord, violin, and string quartet accompaniment.  The Essex Harmony offers 3 to 4 concerts per year as well as special performances at different venues.

The group has recorded extensively (Over 150 YouTube videos last count) and may be heard from links on this website.

Due to Covid 19 considerations, I believe rehearsing & producing live choral programs will be dependent upon an effective vaccine. This may take a couple years or more. In the meantime, we have at least 2 alternatives: the virtual chorus which requires X amount of tech savvy on the part of the members. This method often requires 40 to 80+ hours of labor time to edit a 3 minute video. There is, however, a less technologically intensive approach which we will use, i.e. set up a recording studio in our music room, then record each member, then edit. It does require a commitment from members to study and learn the music and recording time.
